The Junior League of Washington (JLW) today announces its annual holiday shopping event, “A Capital Collection of Holiday Shops,” to be held at the historic Washington Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, DC from November 19 through November 21, 2010. This event is the League’s largest and oldest annual fundraiser and all proceeds support literacy programs in the greater Washington metropolitan area.
The three-day extravaganza kicks off with a breakfast on Friday, November 19th, continues through the weekend with multiple events and great shopping opportunities. A Capital Collection of Holiday Shops features more than 60 unique specialty boutiques from across the country. 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Girls’ Night Out with Neiman Marcus
Gather your girlfriends for a fun-filled evening of shopping and beauty. Enjoy champagne, sweets and one-minute beauty bars by Neiman Marcus. Tickets are $25.
Saturday, November 20th
9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Morning Coffee Sip & Shop
Purchase an early entrance ticket to shop ‘til you drop! Proceeds benefit Books for Bright Futures. Tickets are $15 (or a $5 upgrade to a pre-purchased $10 general shopping ticket).
6:30 to 10:00 p.m. ‘Tis The Season
Celebrate the holidays with hors d’oeuvres, drinks and dancing. Silent and live auctions will be held, and raffle tickets for diamond earrings and a Louis Vuitton purse are on sale now. Tickets are $75 in advance and $85 at the door.
