Buddha-Bar Celebrates Its 1st Anniversary

Buddha-Bar DC will celebrate the DC restaurant’s first anniversary in style on Thursday, May 12th.

Buddha-Bar will co-host a private party with the magazine Washington Life from 5:30 – 7:00pm, featuring a premium open bar and passed hors d’oeuvres, professional Henna tattoo artists, and appearances by high-profile Washingtonians. The elegant Asian-fusion restaurant will also remain open to the public for its regular dinner hours, from 5:30pm – midnight, for a momentous First Anniversary Dinner Celebration.

Guests who want to enjoy a sumptuous meal, catch a peek of DC celebrities, and join in the festivities are strongly encouraged to make dinner reservations in advance by emailing events@buddhabardc.com. Dinner guests can take advantage of Buddha-Bar’s happy hour drink specials until 8:00pm, and those who make reservations in advance will also receive a complimentary glass of Stellina di Notte Prosecco in honor of the restaurant’s anniversary.

Executive Chef Simon Volante will serve Buddha-Bar favorites for the occasion, including Spicy Tuna Tartar with Avocado, Rock Shrimp Tempura, Japanese Sea Bass Tacos, Roasted Black Cod with Miso and Yuzu Sauce, and Grilled Short Ribs with Hoisin BBQ Sauce. Additionally, dinner guests can choose from Buddha-Bar’s extensive sushi list, including the popular Mass and Buddha-Bar rolls.

The First Anniversary Dinner Celebration will also serve to kick start the summer season. Buddha-Bar plans to showcase refreshing, specialty cocktails like the Sake Lychee Martini, Sake Cucumber Martini, Majestic Martini, Asia’tini, and “Buddha-Bar Style” Gin & Tonic with Grapefruit. An extensive variety of bottle service options are also available, and include champagnes, wines, and liquors.
