Goodwill of Greater Washington & Spicy Candy DC Collaborate on the Launch of Vintage Fashion Week 2011 Washington, DC - On September 23rd

Goodwill of Greater Washington, and Carlis and Katya, the creators of the popular Washington, DC based fashion blog, Spicy Candy DC, have collaborated to create the first known “Vintage Fashion Week!”

The week will kickoff on Monday, September 19th with a photo series of amazing vintage fashions from the “House of Goodwill” on the DC Goodwill Fashionista Blog (www.fashionofgoodwill.org/blog). The entire collection will then be silently auctioned off on Friday evening, September 23rd at Goodwill‟s first “Vintage” Travelin‟ Trunk Show at Gossip on 23rd located in Arlington, VA from 7:00PM to 10:00PM. Over 100 fashion junkies are expected to fill the small boutique in the Crystal City area for the vintage fashion showcase and shopping. **THIS EVENT IS AT CAPACITY**

All of the vintage fashions were donated to Goodwill of Greater Washington, and pulled right from its stores.  The photography and styling for the Mad Men inspired photo shoot and look book were done by Carlis & Katya of Spicy Candy DC.  And the vintage accessories were loaned to Goodwill by Gossip on 23rd.

All proceeds from the sale of the vintage collection will help fund Goodwill‟s mission of
transforming lives and communities through the power of education and employment.
